oh well, Dar started his journey from his house to Sg Petani around 8 in the morning.
cant recall the time, but its really early in the morning,
where i'm still rolling on the bed, struggling to wake up. hee!
and ta-da about 5 hours later.
reached at 12pm. just in time for LUNCH!
after unloading the bag and had lunch, after resting for awhile,
started the journey up to Alor Setar, Kedah,
yeps! its another one hour journey up up up.
First visit was to the Gunung Keriang,
the old crystal mountain, now has became a recreational area,
at first glance, where we reach, there are stalls around selling crystals, foods, and drinks,
then, we see this small mountain,
which we thought at first was the bottom of the mountain,
then we walked up and realised that no one was walking up though,
and there were monkeys around,
second thought,
maybe it wasnt a place for sight seeing anymore after all,
making the next decision,
get out of there since no one is walking but just busses and tourist over there looking at the stalls selling crystals and eating their lunch. ><
headed next to the Paddy Museum further down,
its built by Dato' Tun Mahathir with the amount of billions. ><
quite an amount for a paddy museum. ><
the only attraction that I find interesting is the top area,
where its paintings of the sceneries around the area,
beautifully drawn by a Korean painter.
but its like SO SO SO crowded there.
and the moving plat was like having problem in turning,
overweight perhaps,
I wonder what are the guards there for?
aren't they suppose to like handle people and like make sure not too many people is on the moving platform,
and its like sardines up there,
SO difficult to breathe,
and I don't know how could they stand being in there for SO long,
gah. and I as usual, cant stand in stuffy areas for too long,
and there I go again,

thanks to this nice uncle and aunty whom helped Dar to wake me up,
as a result from this trip,
I got a free crysanthemum packet drink and a 'fong yao'.. such sweet people. =)
fyi, its a new full bottle of the medication oil.
left Dar going up to snap those pictures while I waited for him at the seats provided with the tv broadcasting the paddy infos and so forth.
after that,
headed back to the Gunung Keriang.
this time follow few cars going round the area just to find that tower.
one we followed till a construction site.
then we turned back. ><
the fellows must be wondering why are we following them,
plus its heading into the housing area to the construction area ><
finally we saw few cars going further to the other side of the stall areas,
and decided to follow them,
and we found another area of stall but only 2., and further down, we found this place
isn' it awesome? looks like the holy place in the 'Avatar' .
then there is this small entrance on the right,
where it looks pretty creepy though. ><
entered like abit already, but then kinda scared therefore reversed. hehe
while heading out of there,
we then spotted a sign,
and a 'pondok',
then found the stairway up! and yahoo! we found it!
not much people know about this place,
where most of them just stopped at the area in front there, and take a picture. ><
however,
we cant reach the top tower,
because of the twigs, branches, blocked the way to the top.
too bad though. =(
after that, headed off to Kuala Kedah Fort,
near the marina port where the ferry departs to Pulau Langkawi, xD
the entrance are free entrance . =)
lucky for us during that time,
it ain't that hot after all,
for the photo shot sessions. xD
after this,
Dar had this crazy idea of travelling all the way down to Penang for dinner.
and there we go, at around 4.30pm. head to Penang,
the huge paddy field. xD
on the Penang bridge. =)
wanted to catch the sunset at Batu Ferringhi,
where we googled from Dar's Iphone about a place called Bistro?
but somehow, we cant find it,
and by the time we reached Batu Ferringhi,
its jammed up and when we reached the beach, it was already pass 7pm =(
therefore, the rocks have blocked half of the sun.
ended up, Dar brought me to this beach, with less people around,
seems cleaner than those beaches out there.
got people campfiring! xD
after spending sometime till its almost dark
we headed to Teluk Bahang to have dinner at the End of the World restaurant. =)
not the NEW one but the old one further in yeh? xD
and we ordered a 500g lobster with a plate of vege, 2 coconuts, and a glass of chinese tea xD

after the dinner, we then took off to a night adventure tour to Gurney Drive,
through Balik Pulau,
the mountain road.
only to realise Penang has a BIG dam though. ><
and its all SO dark, cant see a thing,
probably next time round, we'll go there during daylight,
the whole journey to Balik Pulau, there is only 9 cars that we came across with.
9! for a 20km ride.
creepy scary, plus Dar is driving the manual car eh! hehe
anyways, we did discover some farms that I didnt know it existed in Penang high up on the hills.
and there is one point where its similiar to the 'Little Genting',
which Dar drove too fast and missed that turning point,
however, decided to go back there for a night view the NEXT penang trip.

parked pretty far away from the stalls at Gurney,
due to the jam,
as usual, unavoidable, therefore, decided to take a walk there,
but, its like so so FAR. ><
got ourself the lychee tou fu fa, sotong bakar, 'oh chian' ( oyster cake?) and the chrysanthemum tea.
then head back to SP.
the tou fu fa is something special though.
harden up like jelly already with the lychee syrup,
sotong bakar was alright,
but the oyster cake was a lil too spicy. not really nice, but at least its better than the one we had the other day at SS2.
there we had our suppper with aunt, with the bang chang kueh, the crispy one. xD
there goes the 3rd day of new year, and Dar's 1st day trip to SP. xD
